Streams Under the 482 Visa

Medium-Term Stream

- For employers who have a labour agreement with the Australian government
- Designed to address specific labour needs not covered by standard lists
Subsequent Entrant
- For family members of the primary 482 visa holder to join them in Australia
Requirements
- Must be nominated by an approved Australian employer
- Occupation must be on the relevant skilled occupation list
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Meet English language requirements
- Good Health condition
- Skills assessment may be required for some occupations
English Language Requirements
For Short-Term Stream:
- IELTS (or equivalent): Overall 5.0 with a minimum of 4.5 in each band
For Medium-Term Stream:
- IELTS (or equivalent): Overall 5.0 with a minimum of 5.0 in each band
