Stay away from Visa Scam
If you’re applying for an Australian visa, watch out for fake migration agents who try to trick and take advantage of people.
These scams often happen on social media. Fake agents :
- Charge high fees
- Use false documents
- Make false promises
- Encourage you to work illegally in Australia
In Australia, only these people can legally give immigration advice for money:
- A registered migration agent with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA)
- An Australian legal practitioner
If you are applying from outside Australia, it is safe to take help of experienced Immigration Consultants.
How to Check If an Agent Is Registered?
- Ask for their Migration Agents Registration Number (MARN)
- Verify their MARN using the OMARA website
