By securing a provincial nomination, skilled workers in the federal Express Entry pool can seek permanent residency in British Columbia through the BC Skilled Worker-EEBC (Express Entry BC) option, which adds 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

What is the category of skilled workers under the EEBC?

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) includes the Express Entry BC (EEBC) Skilled Worker category.
>It is intended for foreign skilled workers with a job offer in British Columbia who possess training and experience in in-demand occupations.
>By obtaining a provincial nomination, those in the federal Express Entry pool can greatly increase their prospects of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Eligibility requirements:

Federal Express Entry Pool membership:
In addition to meeting the requirements of one of the federal economic immigration programs (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades, or Federal Skilled Worker), you must have a current Express Entry profile.

Possess a BC job offer:
You must have a legitimate, full-time, permanent work offer in a skilled occupation from a BC business.

Fulfil the requirements of the BC PNP:
To qualify for the BC Skilled Worker category, you must meet certain requirements, such as possessing the required training, work history, and language proficiency.

Occupation: According to the National Occupational Classification (NOC), the employment offer must be for a profession that is Skill Type 0, A, or B.
Certification and Licensing.

Certification:  You must prove that you fulfil the provincial criteria for that occupation if the position calls for obligatory certification or licensure.

Language criteria: You must fulfil the language criteria for both your occupation and the particular skilled immigration stream.

Additional : In order to be eligible for legal immigration status in Canada, you must demonstrate that you can sustain yourself and your dependents after relocating to British Columbia.
