Step-by-Step Application (The SIRI Process)

You will apply online to SIRI.

Phase 1: Getting Ready

  1. Choose the right permit plan (e.g., High Salary Plan).
  2. You or your employer must pay the application fee online to get a Case ID number.
  3. Get all your necessary documents ready (see list below).

Phase 2: Sending the Application

  1. You or your employer fills out and sends the application form to SIRI online.
  2. Within 14 days of applying, you must go to the nearest Danish embassy or visa center to give your fingerprints and photo (this is called biometrics).

Phase 3: Decision and Travel

  1. SIRI reviews your application.
  2. When approved, you get a notice.
  3. You collect your physical Residence and Work Permit Card (R/W Card).
  4. You use the card to travel to Denmark. When you arrive, you must register your address to get a CPR number (your Danish personal ID) for things like health care and banks.

Documents You Need

  • Valid Passport: All pages, including the photo page.
  • Fee Receipt: Proof that you paid the application fee.
  • Employment Contract: The signed job offer.
  • Education Proof: Copies of your diplomas or degrees.
  • Power of Attorney: If your employer applies for you.
  • Family Papers: If your family is moving with you (marriage and birth certificates).
